Are there any good articles that talks about HOW emotional abuse can affect a victim?

Yes. Just type "how emotional abuse affects victims" into your internet search bar and it will populate a ton of great articles. You could also check out Psych Central's library for articles on emotional abuse too.

I did a Google search but could only find behaviours associated with emotional abuse and not about symptoms a victim may experience because of it.

I didn't know there was a library here.
