Default Soliciting thoughts

'Once an addict, always an addict' is a lie.

Thoughts?

No I don't think you are right. An addict is a always an addict albeit in recovery. Addiction is a brain disease and without constant attention even with considerable recovery time relapse happens easily. The AA slogan "One day at a time." is there for a reason

I was not putting forward my opinion. That came from The Narcotics Anonymous Basic Text believe it or not. Somehow, I have never seen it before today and was shocked to see it in that book of all books.

In my mental real estate the AA program says it is a lie to say once an alcoholic always an alcoholic but NA does say that an addict is always an addict or do I have my facts wrong?
