Hello everyone, we have had a new little one around the last week or so, she has been quite upset and crying a lot, but we don't know a lot about her yet, just that she is quite young and hurt and doesn't feel very safe.
The other day we "came to" in a toy store and this little one was looking at these pop toy things and she WANTED ONE. When we walked away she practically had a tantrum right there in the store. Today we went back to the store and bought some things for her as a way of saying hello to her and to maybe begin to get to know her a little bit better. I can feel that she likes the pop toys but we still don't know much about her, such as her name or what she dealt with. We can feel her, but not connect with her, if you know what I mean. My question is do any of your littles like pop toys and what are some of the ways you help your littles to feel safer and get to know them a little bit? What do your littles love? |

We have had more littles be more present this week, sometimes all the way forward, sometimes more like just co-present. We are making a joint effort to be very kind and caring with these littles. We bought more of these blind bag toy things so other littles could have one too. We want them to know that we care about them and want to help them. Even if we aren't fully aware of them we can feel their happiness at having the toys. It's a start.

I'm not sure what "pop toys" are, but some favourites here are stuffies, trucks, and colouring supplies. Drawing can also be a good way to get to know a little one.

Well they are tiny little stuffy toys that are different kinds of animals and are really cute and each one has a different smell. They come in blind bags so you don't know which one you are getting. We have lots of them now. They are sooooo cute and we love them. You can put them in your bag or hand or pocket and take them anywhere with you and they smell so lovely. The little ones like to hold hem and smell them when they are out.

what are "pop toys"
we probably know them in england under another name. I get the feeling that if I don't know what they are, I'd be quite embarrassed being a child at heart myself |
