Default Birth control

So Iím about to get married soon. As I will be sexually active, Iím wondering what kind of birth control is the best one? I donít think Iíd like the pills, because Iím a forgetful person. Also Iím afraid that pills will be interacting with my psych meds. I will ask for suggestions from doctor for sure, but Iíd like to get more input. If anyone wants to share their experience here, that would be much appreciated

Remember that nothing is 100% effective and sex is something to be enjoyed

I can't really help, because I've never been on birth control. I know some people like getting the shot or the implant in the arm, because then you don't have to remember to take a pill. I have also heard that birth control can destroy your sex drive (much like psych meds).

Just a slight word of caution, I had the contraceptive injection which works for 3 months however I had an allergic reaction and was unwell for a prolonged period. Just something to think about before you make a final decision ( I wish I'd have really thought about it before going ahead )

Have a wonderful wedding and a long and happy marriage

ó-I had a coil for many years before I chose to get pregnant. It worked great.

I had an iud, the copper seven or something like that. I never had any side effects or anything. Maybe just a little heavier period. I hope you'll find something that you'll be happy with, and good luck with everything. Birth control

I just switched from the pill (which I was on for the better part of 20 years) to an IUD. I have had some spotting which is normal but otherwise don't even notice it.
