I’ve noticed there’s been quite a gathering here of late
  For anyone who doesn’t know, I’m a female bear Occasionally people have mistaken me for a male, I’m not sure why, with my grass skirt  I’ve always been female I hope that this forum is welcoming to bears?

Sure, all "she bears" are welcome here,
  The skirt has always led me to believe you're female. I guess some people aren't very observant.
