My husband and I found out I am pregnant and we are excited to begin this next adventure in our lives. I am about five weeks along and I see the OB next month and if all goes okay we should be due in late August. I take Vybrid and I haven't tapered ( I'm discussing this with the OB) and before I found out I was pregnant I drank mountain dew like it was water because I got incredibly tired and mistook that for pre period fatigue. I did cut my caffeine intake after testing and I am making an effort to eat healthier. I am afraid we will lose it. Im concered because I thought I would be throwing up by now. I'm eating like crazy at this point , I'm peeing a lot, boobs hurt, everything smells, gas and as of earlier this week, heartburn. I usually take Prilosec for that but it's not helping much. And I'm worried about if we lose the baby. I keep having thoughts that me andmy husband and I get to the ob and they say they can't hear anything or the baby never developed. I am very sorry if I triggered people with this, I am just worried that this might happen and worried it will be because I did something. I am excited to be expecting but I'm worried about what could go wrong......sorry if it's a bit rambling.

If I were pregnant I'd worry just like you, I'm sure. I'm a big worrier. Maybe you just aren't getting morning sickness. Does everyone who is pregnant get morning sickness? Maybe it's not everyone. I know next to nothing about pregnancy. But take a trip to your gyno and tell them your concerns. Hey, it'll be ok.

Congratulations! I’d call the ob/gyn and tell the nurse about any meds you are on even before your appointment just to make sure they don’t want you to immediately stop them. You’ll be given good medical attention and the doctor will make sure everything is okay with the baby when you see them.

I was worried too. Probably all mothers are. I had three kids. Still worry forever lol.

Thank you both!!!! I was a bit concerned with no morning sickness as of yet because that is kind of unusual and it's weirding me out. I don't want to puke ( I don't think anyone wants to) but it's odd when you expect it and nothing happens. The heartburn is here to stay. I've had that and I'm not surprised because my mom had that when she was pregnant. And I feel better knowing that everyone does worry. It's going to be our first and even though we are thrilled it is scary at times. Thank you both for your help!!! ❤

Morning sickness did not hit me until about 8 weeks, then it was all day sickness. I was worried about losing the baby too, I was 6 weeks when I found out I was finally pregnant after years of infertility. I hope all goes well for you. My son is now 14.5 years old.

I did not have ANY morning sickness with either of my first two pregnancies, my daughter and son. I just felt extremely tired during the first few months. Both were born big, healthy totally normal babies. I had spent the pregnancies worrying constantly, and I'm so sorry I did.

With my third pg I had a degree of morning sickness, didn't feel good at all...and ended up (very sadly) miscarrying.

Go figure. There are some commonalities with pregnancy - and there are many, many variables.

When I was pregnant I had zero morning sickness. After a while some things would trigger a sick response. Certain foods cooking, things like that.

I didn't get morning sickness at all either and had a trouble free pregnancy.

Try to relax and enjoy this time, maybe treat yourself to a book on pregnancy if you haven't already - I absolutely loved reading up on the development inside of me and found it reassuring.

That's great! My sister had night sickness...like, up all night puking. My brother-in-law wanted a second baby; she said NO WAY!
