in any shape or form- because of stress, anxiety, or maybe some other reason.

this is something that is now part of my daily life a lot, and can actually be qite embarrassing (I get it quite bad)

just looking to connect with other sufferers and talk about how we handle it

I have some leaking sometimes when I cough or something like that. I sometimes wear a Poise pad.

One of the main reasons I stopped running in my 40s was that the bouncing would occassionally cause embarrassing leakage. On my walks, it is an on and off thing for me. I suspect that my weight (20 lbs too much), meds, love of coffee and the fact that I drink a lot of water including mineral water (the fizzy stuff makes you pee faster than regular water for some reason) causes a lot of it. Since I live in a humid climate, a pad would cause a rash on my 4.5 walks but a while ago I discovered that an OB tampon catches the minor leaks effectively. I only wear them during my walks.

I wish I could drink more water.

seriously: I know you should, and I know it's healthy for you, but... I don't like it. it's that simple.

it's flavorless

I don't like plain water either--so I mainly drink tea.

I think the carbonated water is tastier and sometimes add lime or lemon juice to it which is also good for you. The minerals in mineral water are good for your health. Here is what one article had to say about them:

I've tried flavored water, but don't really care for most of it--unless it is carbonated.

I have nighttime incontinence from a med. I just sleep so soundly I don't always wake up in time to make it to the bathroom. So I wear incontinence pads and it's no longer a big deal.

Yeah, the pads are like menstrual pads, so I just accept them and move on. I think it's something a fair number of older women deal with.

But there are some meds you can try, if you want to talk to your doctor about it.

I don't have incontinence, but I have to pee 3 to 4 times/hour. 5 times per night when I'm asleep (I mean I have to get up that many times).

I love water and drink a lot of it, but I'm almost positive that the frequent peeing has to do with a typical (older class) AP I take.

The frequent peeing drives me crazy. If the AP wasn't helping so much I would stop taking it just to stop the annoying frequency of peeing.

you are welcome on this thread
don't worry

on my really bad days I can totally relate to what you say.

their's when you gotta go, you gotta go, and then their's what sometimes happens to me. I've had days where peeing is a second nature, if I don't pee every 5 minits their is something wrong with me

Beth, as they say on The Price Is Right - Thats Too Much! (I have to admit, thats my favorite game!). I have occasional urinary issues myself, some leakage due to heart medication, a slight tendency to urinary tract infections, i need to remember to do Kegel exercises from time to time. I also take AZT cranberry caplets everyday and they seem to help.

Have you talked to a dr about this? I hate getting up even once at night. I take a diuretic 2 or 3 times a week - im supposed to take it every day, but i hate how often it makes me pee. Every half hour for a couple of hours and i am psychologically done!

I want to talk to my GP...although she's not the best doctor. I'm pretty sure the frequent peeing is a med side effect, but I'm also somewhat concerned about pre-diabetes, because I have it.

I used to get UTI's frequently (UGH), but haven't had one in years. My sister swears by AZT Cranberry capsules, too.

I do want to get my blood glucose checked, but I've been putting it off because of covid. My health clinic is closed down, for the most part (except telemedicine). So I keep putting it off. Also, I'm recovering from achilles tendon surgery. But yeah...when I get my cast off I'm going to go ahead and try to be seen in person.

My mother ALWAYS watched it! It took me a while to figure out the structure of the show. Two halves to select two final players. It seemed like just a big jumble of games!

My mom was a loyal fan, too...for decades, in fact.
