I have been having minor hiccups with this pregnancy ( SCH, son had a PAC and heart checks) I failed my one hour gtt and have to have it repeated. My weight isnt too great and I have been trying to stay away from super sugar stuff although I did eat pop tarts as a snack. Now I'm worried I didnt eat the right things or that I will get yelled at. I know the last bit is stupid but I am a bit overweight and some days at my job eating was scarf and eat when you can. I would get water, chips and yogurt ( the greek kind) at the cafeteria on top of my lunch ( sandwich, carrots and strawberries) do have a 3 hr gtt for next week but I'm hoping its not GD.

I hope it's not GD, either. I have my fingers crossed for you. Keep us posted on how you're doing. Is this your second pregnancy?

First pregnancy. Husband and I found out it's going to be a little boy. I'm just worried about the test results I've been getting.... they seem to fall under it could be anything or nothing and its stressing me out. I do hope it is not GD either. Thank you and I will keep you posted.

I am just frustrated right now. I gave up drinking, my weight has been on track, I did what I was supposed to and still I might have this! I'm sure the OB and the consult or whomever will chew me out about my weight and eating habits ( not too great due to work and my husband and I not having time to cook) along with exercise ( I tried walking and ended up with back pain and at my job I am on my feet alot walking up and down the lab trying to get things done). I dont eat an awful lot of sweets because early on in my pregnancy it set my morning sickness off and I just felt kind if sick if I had too much anyway so I didnt over do it. And it will be difficult to keep a sugar check.... I said i was on my feet at my job that includes specimen processing, COVID ordering, Blood Bank adventures and getting the send outs ready. Add in the pathologist dumping several surgical cases, the phone ringing like mad, people coming in and asking for things or dropping them off and the chemistry machine misbehaving and its nearly impossible to even get a minute to sit. I've taken late lunches have had a few where it was just scarfing down a sandwich in five minutes. Nobody has time for that. I just feel like a bad mother and this is all my fault.im I know it has to be something I did.....but even then why? My husband has a family history and he's healthy as a horse even though he is overweight. All I keep thinking is where did i go wrong?

For the sake of yourself and your child, take a few minutes to eat every day. Can you pack a healthy lunch?
I don't know what Gtt is. |

I apologize again for the long rant. I was very anxious and given how busy it is at work as of late I was worried if I couldn't check my blood sugar or eat when I had to ( the other day was before my repeat and it was so busy I couldn't take a lunch. I just told my coworker I have to eat and scarfed my lunch down while being interrupted constantly). I did get some very good news today and my 3 hr repeat was negative so no GD!!!!!🙂 I'm still going to make an effort to eat better though. Thanks for your help and for listening.
