I think I’m acting like a jerk right now. I have had to spend about a week working on redoing quite a bit of work due to negligence of a coworker. I also had to come in on a holiday when I had plans to stay home. It has gotten me behind in all my other work.

It’s not the first time I’ve had this experience with this individual. I keep thinking it’s going to keep repeating itself as nobody else seems that upset over the whole situation - but they aren’t the ones who have had to do a bunch of extra work like I have either.

I have been very vocal about how unhappy and inconvenienced I am about this and how I upset I am with this person. I think I need to stop rubbing it in since the problem is (supposedly) being fixed now. But I keep blurting out my frustrations.

Do you ever find yourself acting like a jerk at work and you just can’t seem to calm down and make yourself shut up?

Well... I haven't been gainfully employed for many years now. But when I was, being a jerk at work was my stock-in-trade... as the saying goes. I hope the problem you've been having is actually fixed now.

Yeah I can relate. I felt like I was being a jerk a lot at my last job. That job just made me angry. At my current job I usually just get angry when people don’t push the garbage down all the way. I’ve shoved it down angrily a couple times. No ones really said anything but I think they notice because one time a coworker commented about how she’d push the boxes down next time. Or something like that. I don’t really remember the details. But the reason I’m getting annoyed is because I’m usually the only one taking the garbage back. So I’m doing more work when they don’t push the garbage down. Also taking it back all the time takes away from my own work. It’s like why don’t we just take turns taking it back? I have no idea how to suggest that without sounding like an even bigger jerk.

Oh yes... I was a total jerk at work the other day, so I took Friday off. I saw that my negativity was coming out, so I decided to remove myself, lol. I can relate. I don't blame you for blurting out your frustrations. You're doing the work of someone else, which shouldn't be happening.
