I just applied for a VP role in my field. Ha. That would be quite the feat if I could land this role. Then I could really laugh in everyone's faces at work. Hehehehe.

I really empathize with this. I'm going through many similar things at work where I feel like those in charge simply don't care and are just in it for themselves. I've experienced and witnessed a significant increase in hostile, harassing and abusive behavior by male bosses towards female subordinates. The typical response is to force the abused to remain with the abuser and to circle the wagons around the abuser. I'm sickened by this giant step backwards for women and have raised my voice many times to no avail.

I empathize with you... it's infuriating that this is allowed to go on. And yes, the abusers get away with it and are protected, even by HR sometimes. Usually, the company sees some value in these people and allows them to mistreat others. It's So wrong. The best thing you can do is walk away. Find another job, no matter how long it takes. And try to maintain your sanity in the meantime... it takes lots of self care. Usually the ones who speak up become the "troublemakers" and are turned on. At least in my experience.

Hugs to you!
