My bff was trying to get me into a couple of these. It really changed how i looked at her. That she would pressure me that way when i was really hurting for money.

My friend works for an MLM. She's so put together seeming but she also has issues w money and is insecure, she's not perfect basically. Its a little weird to me tho bc she is also an engineer. It just seems so beneath her. I was reading about her company, specifically, online, and its described as an MLM and cult like. Maybe she can't get out of it but she's always going on trips for them and going to conferences that sound special and important.
She has asked me before if I'd be interested in selling, but I've said no, and she is not pushy. However, since we have different interests and values, we are more like acquaintances now. Our main connection is the knitting and fiber art community. When I do see her, she overshares about her own mental health which I wonder why she does that. I suppose its sad, and I should have more empathy. I think she works very hard on seeming put together. It works, honestly. |

It might work for some people. But mostly it’s too good to be true so it’s not true. It sounds like an easy way to get out of poverty. But it’s not. Or everyone would do just that.
The only way out of poverty is education (learn a skill, don’t mean degrees) and a very hard work. Or maybe marry someone who’ll pay your bills for you JK. All other things are temporary fixes or rip offs. Sadly these companies prey on vulnerable people. Shameful |
