Hi Jolly,

Im sorry about how your boss made you feel, often times people don't realize the weight their opinions carry and it sounds like your confidence suffered. I think a huge win was getting selected for the new job, of everyone they chose you for a reason, they saw in you what you cant see yourself right now but I know you will. Be confident because this does not happen to everyone. Taking the job and presenting over the feelings of making mistakes will allow you to grow. And if you make mistakes that's ok too, everyone makes mistakes it means your trying to accomplish something. Keep working hard as you progress I think and hope you see your worth. Another avenue to look at..

Can your boss have a tough love attitude knowing you can do better, what are some of the ways he demotivates you? Can any of his thoughts he says be used as constructive criticism? Im not sure what kind of work you do, but if he is your boss is it possible he knows things you may not yet? Maybe he was hoping to push you into that new job, you never know the angle of another person. Some people could take the demotivation and use it as fuel maybe that's what hes used to. As long as your polite and don't let it get to you too much maybe you can describe his actions better for us if you still have to interact with him. You mention fear in your title that's a very strong emotion can you tell us about it?
