So it seems pretty clear that we are going back to work in July. If not earlier. I find myself dreading it and kind of bummed.

I am a mess.: my hair needs to be colored and cut.. and I don't have an appointment until June 10th. My hair looks horrific.

I need clothing. Some of my outfits were on their last legs before this. Now I find it impossible to shop -- even if I can shop -- a lot of stores are out of stock.

Avalanche of work. A lot of work has been put off and now that they are starting back up we are going to get socked. I have already been told of a big thing the first week of June, but every day the "machine" is turned on again. The work is still there we now just have less time.

Poor work. The level of sloppy has increased with the excuse of working from home. Sloppy means we have to fix. It has tripled my work.

Some personal work needs to get done still. I have doctors / dentists appointments... tax appointments.. all things that were put on hold. I need to get them done. I will be very stressed getting them done with my work place so busy.

Fatigue. I have a three floor condo but it is clear to me that my level of fitness has slipped. I dread being faced with the workplace again after being out of shape for 3 months.

Bummed I was not able to use the time to my advantage. I should have lost weight.I should have gotten things done around my house, but literally I have been working since March -- non stop. Also, I assumed every day was going to be the last one and we would be going back to work.

I admit it.. co workers are not a good thing. Everyone is talking about how happy they will be to be back. Not me. I feel a lot of co-workers just can't really produce on their own. They rely on people around them to shove work on and to get information from. Not me. I don't look forward to providing them with help.

I hate my job. I have to admit it, I hate my job. I need like a year vacation from it. I need not to wake up every day with 7 people whining at me before I have even started. I don't know how to get out of it though. My workplace doesn't want me to move up (as if there are any jobs anyway) and I have a tough time getting a job anyplace else simply because it is so hard to get any time off.

You are definitely not alone. I know of several people that are feeling the same. My husband is actually looking forward to going back, but he seems to be in the minority. He seems to prefer the clear definition between work and home. I understand not wanting to deal with co-workers. I had some terrible ones at my previous job.

It is really amazing to me how much I enjoyed being trapped in my home. Mostly. I actually wonder if a lot of people don't feel that way. Where I work we have meetings and everyone has to trudge into town, park, get dressed up, get childcare, all so they can stand there for 15 minutes -- tops. From our point of view it is always a question if people are going to show up and or, be on time. Due to the aforementioned challenge of getting into town. Then if we ask them to do something right after, we have to wait 4 or 5 hours -- or the next day -- before they are back at their desk. I wonder if that is justifiable any longer? Now when we end our zoom conference we have something an hour later.

In addition, I can't help but think what this will do for snow or other storms. Why bother putting everyone at risk during a snow storm if we can do it from home?

We use interpreters and it always a major hassle getting them to come in (usually they are busy) so I am hopeful that we can set up something like zoom even when we are in person.

What will it do for Real Estate? The real estate closer to the city is insanely expensive. Because people don't want the hassle of trudging in. But will people start buying in the outlying areas and using zoom?

I guess the good news is that there was a status conference yesterday and it really seems like people will not be back for a while. The CEO admitted that the work is getting done without being in person. I have made a point of my work being done.

He said in July we are probably going to go to teams? So first week in July Team A will be there for a week, then Team B, then Team C etc. That seems like a good plan.

I really don't want to go back.

I have been been taking my vitamins and minerals daily since being here and focusing on eating well (trying to up protein) and yesterday I went to cut my nails and they were hard as a rock and very hard to cut -- comparatively -- since the last time I cut them. I think it was the protein and vitamins.

I am going to tell you, I don't think I eat these things at work because I cannot keep people out of my office. I Mean if I am in the middle of grabbing a supplement I know someone will have thoughts about that if they see me doing it.

Currently I am doing Keto, real keto, because now I can actually do it. Just go downstairs and dump some tuna into a bowl and eat it. I suppose I could bring food to work but it is SUCH a hassle and I know I will probably never do it. Plus my commute is almost two hours. I hope the habits I got here will help me when I go back to work.

Though my cat isn't *thrilled* with his lack of sleep, I do think he does prefer me home. I kind of worry about going back to work. At least with me home there is someone (thing) to look forward to when he wakes up. He always comes and gets me and wants to interact. I think he has figured out the situation and knows that he should sleep on the floor I am not at.

My boss told me he is going on vacation the first week of August. If we are back I will ask if I can work from home that week.

I find I really *enjoy* the lack of stress from other people. Of course you have to communicate with co workers but their communications are generally too the point and short. I Feel so much better, stronger, as a person. So much happier.

I have mentioned a toxic co worker and I have to say, it is almost like god gave me an out. I just stopped talking to her. I am hoping she will be done with me. But I think maybe she will have had to move on to greener pastures.

I probably can't express how much my body probably has healed from being in sneakers and comfortable clothing all day.

i feel the same way. i don't want to go back to my workplace fulltime. my boss is real nice and has tried to help us feel safer but to have more people in an office, with limited air circulation..i am a little uneasy.. i did email the boss to tell her i didn't want to be upfront anymore where there is more public contact. i feel bad even mentioning that to her. she is trying her best for us.

i now work part of the time at home, and part of the time in the office. for me, it was hard to split my duties like that.

covid has made life so messy .

It has been hard for all of us, and many observers are predicting massive changes to how we work are on their way on account of COVID-19. Industries that can afford to have employees work from home are likely to embrace this. But, I hope we're all given a choice if it comes to that--if we can choose how and where we want to work from, that should be good.

That said, I live very close to work, a 15-minute walk, and it still wasn't enough to relish the prospect of meeting the day and so many ppl. I thought working from home would be a good alternative, but people are insisting on having our cameras turned on at all times during SCRUMs and other daily meetings. Draconian and excessive. Since we're working from home, employers only have legit claim on a certain amount of our time. They cannot regulate--much less demand--how we work from home as long as the work gets done.

I hope you feel better about going in if you have to go in more regularly. I wish though that you can work from home, and in a pleasant manner

That does seem excessive. Something interesting is that I do think where my managers are they have realized that the work is getting done, unabated....we had a recent zoom call where the top boss said as much and said that he didn't think we would be able to pull it off... but we have. I think managers don't like that the roles seem to have switched... we are enjoying a perk they got before and now they have to support us.

We have a person who's whole job is to cover for us when we are out. We got an email the other day that this person now had nothing to do because none of us were taking leave and so we could give him our excess work. I mean that says it all as to the extra work they are getting from us at home.

I had a doctors appointment yesterday (by video) and it took 30 minutes. Compare, I would be out the entire day normally because I would have to drive there - and then I wouldn't want to lug into work for 4 hours so I would take leave. Now... hardly a blip.

They just installed a web cam on my bosses desk top and I will be getting one soon. This means, even if I am at work, we can continue to do things by video cam. Which is flat out amazing. 99% of the difficulties in my job is getting people to come in for meetings. If now we could have a meeting like that.. there would be no excuses for things not to happen on time.

That is indeed remarkable! Especially the doctor's appointment. This arrangement really saves time--a lot of it. No commute, no commute-related stress. Which is great.

Where I work, we have the flexibility to work whenever we want...as long as tasks are accomplished. A little tricky for editors since we work with specific, strict deadlines, but even so, this saves a lot of time and stress, you're right

Well I guess I have good news... it is looking like we will NOT be back for a while. When asked yesterday if we are going to back, my boss said they are looking at September? That seems insane but... I will take it. I might start going back 1 day per week only for my sanity and my cats. It is also much easier to do work there.
