And..... I had performance anxiety like crazy afterwards. How come I didn't say X, Y, or Z when my client asked me that question? How come I didn't answer in full?

I had no idea my CEO was joining the call until I heard him join in or chime into the conversation.

He heard my entire report review, where I reviewed the monthly performance with my client on the phone and gave various recommendations.

My CEO and I are on very good terms, but he still makes me nervous professionally because he's in charge.

I just pray I performed well enough under pressure.

It sucks when you think of all the things you should have said well after the fact, like after the phone call ended.

I am very perfectionistic. And I fear I did not do as well as I could have done today in front of my CEO.

I really want a promotion, and this was my spontaneous chance to strut my stuff. Hope I didn't blow it.

Perhaps he was listening because he is thinking of giving you the promotion and you just proved yourself worthy of it :-)

TY.

That's a GREAT thought, and I'd love to think it's true. I'm used to disappointment though and I'm expecting to be passed over. My own boss has been trying to keep me down, although, it's really up to the CEO to decide on a promotion. It would be nice to think he was impressed and that he wants to give me a promotion.
