I was applying for jobs and this guy reached out to me. I interviewed despite my reservations, and go for a job shadow on Wednesday. They have way more perks than my current job. Can work it around my disability. And will train me as an xray tech. Which will provide job security. I'm so excited about this opportunity.

But, I'm feeling bad about possibly leaving my current boss. She took me in when no one else did. She's worked around my disability. She's like a friend more than boss, knows my whole family. Feeling guilty but the offer is 2 dollars an hour more, paid training, and accured vacation time. I don't have that now. I couldn't even negotiate all that to stay. It's just an awesome opportunity! I do plan to give 2 weeks notice.

She may feel good that she played a role in your success! Congratulations!

I'm sorry it didn't work out, but yes, you do still have a job. Maybe next time you'll get it.

Keep looking Aviva! Many times for me, not getting the job, led to another job because it refreshed my interview skills and wardrobe. We live in an economy where many of us have to create our own "job ladder" or find "side gigs" to survive. I am glad you have a supportive boss.
