Hi,

I started a new job about three months ago. I like the work but it is also boring at times. My probation period ends in February. It is a state job. But the issue is that I don’t interact with anyone outside of work. I don’t really do much since there is not much to do here in town. I moved to this town for the job, my family is about five an half hours away. And I don’t have a set schedule. I wouldn’t be able to get one till 2 1/2 years in or if a spot opens up. And I didn’t really get any good training.

Is it bad to leave a job after six months? I was thinking of getting a year in but I am not sure now. There is no place I can practice Taekwondo here. The closest is two half hours away. I want to be in a place where I can practice Taekwondo as, I can test for my third black belt next December. And it was really hard in the beginning here.
(Trigger) I was dealing with suicide ideation/planning a couple of weeks after I moved here. And didn’t tell anyone. Dealing with a lot at that time.

I do not think its bad. As long as you have another job lined up, give 2 weeks notice, or, if you are able to support yourself while looking for another job...

You have valid reasons for finding something else in a different area. I'm sorry you have been struggling

It is very sad that you are alone in this city.
But maybe you shouldn't hurry.
Try to give this city a chance first.
It's sad that you can't do taekwondo, but maybe you like something else? Try to find what else you can do in the city, something that should definitely interest you. But it is better to choose something where there will be other people. So that you can communicate and make new friends.
If you can't meet someone offline, try online. I think there are also people in this city who lack communication. Try to meet someone on the Internet, and then you will be able to meet this person in real life.
You will always have time to leave everything and go. But do not rush with it, especially when you like your work.

I used to be unable to keep a job, after 3 months i kep getting fired. It was horrible, that was my worst year, but then i became self motivated and really made sure i was worth every penny. Do the same, and do not quit, independence is a beautiful thing.
